Easy Easter Desserts: Cute Cupcakes

It is easy to create cute cupcakes with a few basic supplies and your favorite Easter candy.

Candy Flowers

Use seven pastel candies to create a flower. Place one candy in the center of the cupcake. Surround it with six more candies to create petals. For a more detailed flower, place the flower toward the top of the cupcake and use green frosting to add a stem and leaf.

Bird Nest Cupcakes

Top frosted cupcakes with a small dollop of coconut pecan frosting. Add candy eggs or jelly beans to create a bird nest.

Easter Basket Cupcakes

Top a frosted cupcake with a small swirl of green frosting. Add candy eggs or jelly beans. Create a basket handle by slicing a Twizzler in half lengthwise. Gently press the Twizzler into the cupcake.

Spring Critter Cupcakes

Easter gummies, available at Walmart, are an easy way to decorate spring cupcakes. The color-coded candy display includes pink, yellow, green and blue critters. Frost the cupcake and top with cookie crumbs or colored sugar. Lay the gummy candy flat or stand it upright and use a lollipop stick or toothpick for support.
