Dallas-Fort Worth area Jason's Deli locations are participating in a special promotion to benefit the North Texas Food Bank. Dine at Jason's Deli on Monday, June 29, 2009 between 5 and 9 PM. Submit your paid receipt to the staff and the North Texas Food Bank will receive a donation of 10% of your bill.
People typically take extra time to make seasonal donations during the winter. However, demand at the food bank continues year round. Unemployment and increased seasonal costs such as higher utility usage and gasoline strains budgets. The food bank also hosts programs to provide children with nutritious lunches during the summer break. The North Texas Food Bank reports a 35% increase in the number of new clients seeking aid.
