Attention Root Beer Fans: A&W restaurant is celebrating their 90th anniversary by giving away free small root beer floats on June 19th from 2 to 8 PM. Then on Father's Day, June 21, A&W Papa burgers are just $.90. Both offers are limited to one per customer.

Have you baked a root beer cake yet? I tried a few and none of them tasted like root beer! In case you think I was presumptuous to expect them to taste like one ingredient, the descriptions said the cakes tasted like root beer. In hindsight, I think it was a case of over zealous cut and paste that caused others to "borrow" (steal) the same recipe or two and spread them across the web with an inaccurate description.
Allrecipes.com is a great site because they have an active community of helpful users who share their honest feedback. I was relieved to see others share their disappointment with the lack of root beer flavor in their cake. (At least it wasn't due to a mistake on my part.)
